Cargo Vans… How to Make Some Money

I hopped in an Uber the other day after totaling my car as I needed to be driven to CarMax to pick up my new car. Funnily enough, my Driver told me he was in the Cargo Van business. I asked him how he found his loads for Cargo Vans. He said Airports. He knocked on doors going warehouse to warehouse outside of the Atlanta airport and he found a warehouse that needed airplane tires transported short distances (about 35 miles). This warehouse gave him a contract to move two (2) loads a day 5 days a week, hauling airplane tires to a maintenance facility at the Atlanta airport. So, why can’t other Cargo Van Carriers do the same thing if they live close to an airport and go knock on some doors? Plus, what about car dealerships, or smaller shorts that do car tires?
The second money-making business model he was telling me about was using the Cargo Van as a dumber. He said because of the HOA’s, some neighborhoods don’t allow dumpsters to be in driveways for longer than 5 days when homes are getting renovations done. So, what he does is he calls real estate agents and tells them that he has a Cargo Van available for rent and so when a home needs renovations done, the real estate agents call him and he goes and parks it in the driveway. Boom! The Cargo Van is producing income without putting heavy miles on the unit.
Finally, go to local furniture stores or Home Depot. People are always buying items that are too big for their cars. The stores will want to connect with you, and when a delivery needs to be scheduled, they will call you and tell you the details.
